Yasser Bahjatt is the co-founder of Yatakhayaloon Co. Ltd., serial entrepreneur, Engineer, business development consultant, futurist, translator and novelist. born in Spartan Village, East Lansing, Michigan in 1977, has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from King Abdulaziz University, worked as a System Analyst in P&G but his passion for technology and business drove him to continue his career as an entrepreneur, he started his first business when he was in elementary school. He founded several businesses in an assortment of fields, starting with INC (Intelligent Networks Components) which he founded before graduating from college with a group of his colleagues, it was the first Saudi specialized in communication technologies, in 2003 he founded E2T (Electronic Entertainment Technology), the first Arabian company specialized in eSports that was the official representative in the Arabian world for many global competitions such as ESWC (Electronic Sports World Cup) and WCG (Word Cyber Games) as he also managed the Arabian teams participating in those competitions from 2004 to 2016 where Saudi players won World Champion titles twice in 2005 and 2015. He did his graduate studies in future technologies at Singularity University in NASA Ames research center in 2011, where he was the head engineer for the Matternet project who conceptualized and designed the idea of using UAVs for product transport that was later mimicked by large companies such as Amazon. He was the first to translate TED talks to Arabic and the first to hold a TEDx event in Arabia. Author of Yaqteenya: The Old World, the first Arabian alternate history and translator of Ibraheem Abbas’s novels (HWJN, Somewhere! & Binyameen). He participates annually in the Worldcon since 2013 where he talks about Arabian Fiction, alternate history and fiction translation. Yasser is the CEO of Yatakhayaloon Co. Ltd, where he over sees Yatakhayaloon’s global reach by building relations to transform Yatakhayaloon’s original work into globally competitive products as well as bringing the most important internation work of fiction into Arabia.
